AutoGen and NorDiag Sign Distribution Agreement for North America…

AutoGen announces entering into a distribution agreement with Nordiag Inc. US subsidiary for distribution of NorDiag products to the Life Science market in North America.

NorDiag is a leading developer and manufacturer of sample preparation instrumentation and technologies for use in both life science research as well as diagnostic applications. NorDiag’s Arrow instrument is the only system of its kind that can perform both nucleic acid extraction and cell separation. Autogen, leaders in the nucleic acid extraction market, have a significant client portfolio of research institutions, laboratories and hospitals to which they market their nucleic acid extraction systems.

The agreement includes distribution of instruments and chemistry specifically designed for the life sciences market. The agreement has a time frame of 5 years with an option for a further 2 years. The parties have not released financial terms of the agreement, but NorDiag expects that AutoGen will be able to make a significant sales impact in 2012 and beyond.

AutoGen to distribute Qiagen’s FlexiGene chemistry…

AutoGen and Qiagen have recently signed an agreement that appoints AutoGen to be an authorized distributor of Qiagen’s FlexiGene whole blood DNA extraction chemistry. AutoGen will sell the automated version of the kit for use with the AutoGenFlex STAR, their automated workstation for large volume whole blood DNA extraction. In addition AutoGen will sell the manual version of the FlexiGene kit for low throughput manual applications.
