What's Happening at AutoGen

AutoGen has new owners…

Since 1999 AutoGen has been a subsidiary of Iwata and Co of Tokyo Japan. Recently Iwata decided that the life science business was no longer in sync with their long term strategic direction. This direction change led to a management buyout of the company in late 2008.

AutoGen is now a privately held company owned by its existing management team and located in Holliston, MA just outside of Boston. From our headquarters we serve our customers in Europe and North America, supplying them with the most reliable automated sample prep devices available, backed by exceptional service and support.

At AutoGen our mission is to provide our customers with the tools they need to “Prep with Confidence”.

AutoGen to distribute Qiagen’s FlexiGene chemistry…

AutoGen and Qiagen have recently signed an agreement that appoints AutoGen to be an authorized distributor of Qiagen’s FlexiGene whole blood DNA extraction chemistry. AutoGen will sell the automated version of the kit for use with the AutoGenFlex STAR, their automated workstation for large volume whole blood DNA extraction. In addition AutoGen will sell the manual version of the FlexiGene kit for low throughput manual applications.
